On August 30th, 2100hrs, 502nd attended Operation Raven Sword hosted by SquadOps. This mission involved an air assault on an LZ in Gorodok. British Forces must setup an LZ location and defend it until enough supplies and men have been transported to the LZ. Russian Forces must find British forces and eliminate them thus preventing their efforts to flank the extended line of attack.
In the first round, the 502nd Squad was deployed to the G6-1-2 area to secure and protect. The objective was to provide suppressive fire and disable enemies, while spotting helicopters and potential radio locations. After another Squad took heavy causalities on the F5-5-9 trench, 502nd had to support another squad in their advancement to cover that position. Once supported, 502nd advanced north east of the road, discovering that the radio location was in the F6-7 radius. With friendly infantry on either side of the forest, friendlies pushed into the F6-7-6 radius, securing and destroying the enemy radio. Furthermore, we were then successful in holding this during a counter attack for a further 15 minutes. 502nd won this round.
In the second round, the 502nd Squad was assigned as the Special Forces LZ Squad, flying in the AC-130 Aircraft and parachuting out of the rear. 502nd quickly secured the D10 grid square radius, and then setup a radio for supplies. After heavy attacks, the 502nd lost minimal casualties for the majority of the round, disabling several vehicles and squads during their attempt to secure our LZ. After 30 minutes of successfully holding the attack, mainly coming from the north east of the radio, the 502nd were victorious in shutting down the LZ and returning to main base.
The 502nd won both rounds, assisted by other SquadOps and community members. The 502nd would like to express their gratitude to SquadOps for hosting this event. Awards listed below.

In the second round of the operation, PFC Finan was ordered to secure a set of rocks where PFC Sarroca and PFC Finan had been injured and downed.
