SUBJECT: After Action Report (AAR), Official Scrimmage - 8th July
AFTER ACTION REPORT
On Friday, August 8th, 2025, the 502nd compete against 44th Royal Anglian in an official scrimmage. The 502nd was allied with the 1st Marine Division, 1st and 2nd Battalion. The scrim result was 1-0 to the 44th.
In the first round (44th attacking), the 44th approached from the north eastern spawn and proceeded to surround the movement restrictions from all angles. Clearing the eastern part of the village first, the 44th were able to successfully destroy both objectives, resulting in two points and a round win to the 44th.
In the second round (44th attacking), the 44th approached from the north western spawn and surrounded the village from the north west and north east. The western soldiers advanced into the village, with a flanking squad entering on the east. Despite their best efforts, the 44th were unable to destroy any objectives, despite killing all enemies with 45 seconds to go, resulting in 0 points to the 44th and a round win to the 502nd.
In the third round (502nd attacking), the 502nd and 1stMDiv advanced from the south west, clearing buildings slowly and advancing towards the objective. After time, the only soldier remaining on the attack was First Sergeant G. Forest, who was unable to secure an objective, but was able to kill a defender using their own Tigr. The 502nd destroyed no objectives and scored 0 points resulting in a round win for 44th.
In the fourth round (502nd attacking), the 502nd advanced from the east, while the 1stMDiv advanced from the north. The aim was to close in on the objectives, both taking different routes, clearing infantry in fireteams. Despite great efforts, the 502nd were wiped out by machine guns and the 1stMDiv were apprehended by infantry. The 502nd were unable to secure any objectives, securing 0 points.
Captain Vargas has participated in his first official scrimmage. He has been awarded the Expert Infantry Badge, 1st Grade. Captain Vargas also went above and beyond during the planning of the scrimmage with the 1st Marine Division. This included testing server modifications, planning both defence and attacks, discussing plans with opposing units, and much more. For his commitment and dedication, the Operations Office has awarded Captain Vargas an Army Commendation Medal.
First Lieutenant Taylor has participated in his first official scrimmage. He has been awarded the Expert Infantry Badge, 1st Grade. In the second round of the scrimmage, the 44th made a desperate attempt to push the objective with all infantry. This resulted in three infantry pushing from the east of the second objective. First Lieutenant Taylor was able to kill two enemies, but was taken out by an enemy grenade in the final minutes of the round. His actions directly impacted the outcome of the round. For his bravery and sacrifice in combat, First Lieutenant Taylor has been awarded the Purple Heart.
Second Lieutenant Grissom has participated in his first official scrimmage. He has been awarded the Expert Infantry Badge, 1st Grade.
First Sergeant Forest has participated in his first official scrimmage. He has been awarded the Expert Infantry Badge, 1st Grade.
Sergeant Stephano has participated in his first official scrimmage. He has been awarded the Expert Infantry Badge, 1st Grade. In the early minutes of the second round, a flanking squad advanced on the eastern side of movement restrictions. Sergeant Stephano, separated from his squad and in a deadly position across the road, was able to take out two enemy soldiers before knifing another while retreating to the objective. His actions contributed to the round victory and caused issues for the 44th in their final push. For this talent displayed in combat, Sergeant Stephano has been awarded the Bronze Star.
Corporal Redgrave has participated in her first official scrimmage. She has been awarded the Expert Infantry Badge, 1st Grade.
